Aditya Shroff is a fourth generation stock broker. He began his stock broking career as a member of the Calcutta Stock Exchange. Thereafter he became a member of the Bangalore Stock Exchange. He learnt the business in the family stock broking firm Shroff Brothers before branching out. He established ADITYA SHROFF as a stock brokerage proprietorship firm in 1991.

After helping hundreds of clients manage their portfolios, he has promoted SHROFF SECURITIES Pvt. Ltd. as a portfolio management company in 1995.

Aditya Shroff is a self taught fundamental analyst, a qualified technical analyst and an author of two stock investment books. He has been awarded the designation, Chartered Market Technician by the Market Technicians Association, New York, USA. He heads the brokerage firm and the fund management team of the portfolio management firm.

Ananta Shroff is the principal officer of Shroff Securities and oversees the research and other operations of the company with a team of professionals.

For the purpose of safety

IL&FS Securities Services Ltd (ISSL) has been appointed as the Custodian for all portfolio management clients' assets. ISSL is one of the largest custodians in India. It is responsible for payments for purchases and collection of sale proceeds; collection and delivery of securities; and other asset related activities. All transactions relating to market purchases and sales are with the clearing house of the exchanges directly and not through the broker or portfolio manager.

IL&FS Securities Services Ltd (ISSL) is the Depository Participant to the portfolio management clients. All shares belonging to a client are held in the demat account of the client.

HDFC Bank (HDFC) is the Banker to our portfolio management clients. All money belonging to a client is held in the bank account of the client.

For the purpose of transparency

BgSE Financials Ltd. (BFSL), a subsidiary of the BgSE Properties & Securities Limited (formerly known as Bangalore Stock Exchange Limited), and one of the largest brokers of southern India is the Broker to all our clients. All trades are executed through BFSL on the NSE / BSE platforms, and the contract notes are generated in the name of the client.

We offer two services - Stock Broking and Portfolio Management Services.

Stock Broking

We offer advice based stock brokerage services to our clients in the cash and futures segments of the market. The advice is based on extensive macro and micro fundamental and technical research. The strategy is to invest for the long term, medium term or short term as the client may require.

Portfolio Management

We offer two equity based and one debt based strategy. The equity based strategies are Dynamic Equicom (long/medium term) and Dynamic Opportunities (medium/short term).

Dynamic Equicom Strategy

This strategy is to invest in listed companies, with good track record and/or growth prospects, and in gold exchange traded funds. The strategy is to actively manage the funds, and may result in a quick shift from investments to cash or cash to investments. Unutilized funds may be held in cash or deployed in liquid/short term debt mutual funds or bank deposits. This strategy is meant for those seeking good returns over a long/medium term horizon and is comfortable with medium risk.

Dynamic Opportunities Strategy

This strategy is to invest in listed companies, derivative instruments and/or in gold exchange traded funds. The strategy is to aggressively manage the funds, and may result in a quick shift from investments to cash or cash to investments. Unutilized funds may be held in cash or deployed in liquid/short term debt mutual funds or bank deposits. This strategy is meant for a client who is seeking high return over medium/short term and is comfortable with medium to high risk.

Dynamic Debt Strategy

This strategy is to invest in units of debt mutual funds, government and quasi government debt securities, corporate debt instruments, money market instruments and/or bank/corporate deposits.

Question: Why Aditya Shroff?

Answer: Good background, world class research, good advice, competitive cost.

Question: What is the brokerage rate?

Answer: The brokerage rate is 0.25% for delivery transactions and 0.10% for futures transactions. This includes all costs except government levies.

Portfolio Management

Question: Why Shroff Securities?

Answer: Good background, qualified fund manager, world class research, greatest safety, conservative yet dynamic approach, transparent and competitive cost.

Question: What is the return expected?

Answer: We aim for a return of 25% pre tax, year on year on our equity and combination strategies, though there is no guarantee as to the return. We aim for a return greater than the post tax fixed deposit return for our debt strategy.

Question: What about protection of capital?

Answer: As all investments carry risk, we do not guarantee protection of capital. But we strive to protect the capital of our clients. Our strategy to invest is conservative, and yet it is dynamic because we do not hesitate to liquidate a large part of the portfolio if the analysis points towards weakness.

Question: What is the cost?

Answer: The cost are the most reasonable in the business. There is no fixed fee. There is only performance fee of 10% of the incremental profit as per the High Water Mark principle. There is no entry or exit load like for other service providers.
